About Me:

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I specialize in mental health, with extended training in the DSM-5, allowing me to provide thorough assessments and individualized care tailored to each client’s needs. My professional experience spans community behavioral centers, hospital settings, and private practice, where I’ve supported individuals and families navigating a variety of challenges.

My areas of expertise include geriatric counseling, family trauma, grief counseling, and guiding individuals through major life transitions. I also have extensive experience working with survivors of PTSD, complex trauma, and neurodivergent clients. Additionally, I have experience providing sex therapy to individuals and couples, including those in the LGBTQ+ community, helping them enhance intimacy, develop healthy relationships, and explore their sexual and relational needs.

My therapeutic approach integrates motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, strength-based strategies, and solution-focused techniques. I also incorporate concepts from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients improve communication, develop self-regulation skills, and address relationship challenges. Furthermore, I am deeply committed to the mind-body connection, integrating mindfulness and somatic experiencing into my practice to promote holistic healing and well-being.

Fluent in Spanish, I aim to create a culturally responsive, inclusive, and empowering space where clients feel safe to explore their stories, overcome challenges, and achieve their personal and relational goals.
