About Me:

My career began as a volunteer parent in the classroom. I had a disabled child in the school system and knew I had to become involved. As my child grew, I decided to go to school and become an Indiana educator. I worked in the school system with students in special education from pre-preschool (severely disabled students) to seniors in their last year of high school. I continued to study and graduated with my social work degree, and not soon after, I began work for the Indiana Department of Child Services as a case manager and later as a trauma-focused therapist. It was during this time that the opioid epidemic propelled me to begin working with a private physician to provide medicated-assisted treatment to families. In helping the parents, we were able to reach the children in response to a crisis that threatened a future generation’s future. I continued to study and became a certified addiction specialist. It was good work, and many families were helped and, to this day, continue to receive the services they need. I am now in my fifties and a grandmother. and am home-based. I am able to provide services to all types of clients and enjoy working with a diverse population (regardless of descriptors). I work for 24/7 DCT because of their high level of commitment and service to all clients, regardless of their needs.
